Seismic Terrain Explorer
The Seismic Terrain Explorer by The Visual Wavefield Project is the first program in the history of exploration whose sole purpose is the visual communication of seismic information. First, it reconstructs the wavefield using proprietary techniques and then it displays it using visualization techniques consistent with how humans process visual information.
The Seismic Terrain Explorer is the first geophysical program that doesn’t treat seismic visualization as an afterthought. It is something entirely new and it is decades overdue.
You can run The Seismic Terrain Explorer as a stand alone program that displays imported SEGY files. You will find it more useful, however, to run it directly out of OpendTect.
The attached presentation below shows you how to install the Terrain Explorer plugin into OpendTect and how to open windows once you have.
