Dear OpendTect user,

OpendTect v1.2 is now available from the download center at
www.opendtect.org . Highlights in this release are:

    * Mac-OS/X.3 support.
    * New volume rendering engine by SIM, the makers of COIN, for faster
      displays with higher resolution and improved performance when
      rotating the image. This engine is released under the OpendTect
      license agreement as open source binary code only. SIM apologizes
      for delivering the software a bit too late thus causing a delay in
      this OpendTect release.
    * Depth survey support.

Also new are upgrades in the following commercial plugins:

    * Workstation access by Ark-cls now supports full well data access
      to SeisWorks and GeoFrame-IESX.
    * Neural networks by dGB now supports direct inversion of seismic
      data to real well logs, e.g. for creating a porosity volume, or a
      gamma ray volume.

We hope this release meets your expectation and are looking forward to
your response.

Best regards,

Paul de Groot.
OpendTect Support Team.
