Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that OpendTect will be integrated with
Madagascar, the open source seismic processing package.

In the Madagascar integration project dGB will develop a processing flow
builder to construct and execute Madagascar processing jobs. Processing
flows can start from 2D and 3D pre- and post-stack data in either
Madagascar or OpendTect format. Likewise results can be saved in both
formats. Data stored in OpendTect format can be further analyzed in
OpendTect. Furthermore, processing flows constructed in the processing
flow builder can be saved and executed directly in OpendTect as an
OpendTect attribute for seamless integration with OpendTect's powerful
interactive attribute analysis engine.

For an overview of the project and a preview of the User Interface,
please check this Powerpoint file:
ftp://ftp.dgb-group.com/pub/tmp/Madagascar-Link.ppt

We thank the sponsor of this project to make this possible: BG,
Statoil, Graham Bowyer, Gerhard Diephuis and an unnamed E&P company.
Deliverables are expected in Q108.

I hope to see many of you at the SEG in San Antonio. If you are there,
please do stop by at booth #3818 for the latest on OpendTect.

Best regards,

Paul de Groot.
