[Developers] OpendTect cvs access

Hi all,

As of now, it is possible to get anonymous read-only access to the
OpendTect cvs server. All the 'open' stuff is now under cvs on
cvs.opendtect.org, and the closed stuff is still on our internal server.

There is a script that can be used to create your work environment, which
is stored along with dvs -- our cvs wrapper scripts. See the attached
README.txt on how to checkout and setup dvs.

The 'mk_work_dir' script basically checks out the required directories and
sets some links. Alternatively, you can check out everything by hand:

     setenv CVSROOT :pserver:cvsanon at cvs.opendtect.org:/cvsroot
     cvs login
cvs co dvs Pmake buildscripts dtect include src plugins spec data bin

And then set the required links manually. Take a look at the mk_work_dir
script to see what links should be made.

The best thing to do is probably to create a new working directory
alongside your old one, and get that working before ditching your old work
dir completely.

Please let me know if anything is unclear or anything does not work as
expected.

Please note that for read/write access to the repository, it is required
you to have ssh access to the cvs server. At the moment, only dGB
developers will have that.

Regards,
