[OpendTect_Users] Problem when importing data

Hi Anders,

May be I am missing the point in this discussion but I don't think there is
a need for exporting / re-formating / importing.

If I understood you correctly you have: 1) seismic and 2) multiple ascii
files. The seismic you have imported and the ascii files you can import via
the simple file format. Assuming that the ascii file ordering corresponds
with the ordering of the seismic volume than the answer to your question
is: yes, you can now directly use your results in OpendTect as attribute
volumes.

Any volume in OpendTect is effectively an attribute volume. You can do
whatever you like in the attribute engine with your seismic volume and your
volumes Result1, Result2, ...

OpendTect does support a multi-component volume format but this is only to
facilitate storage & manipulations of attributes that naturally belong
together such as frequency components computed in Spectral Decomposition.
There is no way in OpendTect to combine multi-attribute volumes into a
multi-component volume but as explained above there is no need either. You
should be able to do everything you want with attributes stored in separate
files.

Best regards,

Paul.
