Dear colleague,

It is my pleasure to announce the first release of MPSI (Multi-Point
Stochastic Inversion) software by Earthworks / Ark cls. MPSI (Linux 32
and 64-bit and Windows 32-bit) consists of two new commercial plugins
for OpendTect: Deterministic Inversion and Stochastic Inversion, which
can be downloaded from the download center at www.opendtect.org .

Deterministic Inversion includes a 3D model builder for constructing a
priori impedance models using well logs and seismic horizon data; a 2D
error grid generation module for providing spatial inversion constraints
and a model-based deterministic inversion module. Stochastic Inversion
is an add-on to Deterministic Inversion and includes the MPSI ultraFast
stochastic inversion module for generating multiple geo-statistical
realizations and utilities for processing the multiple realizations to
represent the inversion uncertainty for lithology, porosity, saturation
or other attributes as probability cubes. For a quick overview of the
new inversion software, please have a look at this tutorial video:
http://www.opendtect.org/tutorials/MPSI/MPSI.html .

These plugins are protected by FlexLm license managing software. Please
contact info at dgb-group.com for a one-month evaluation license key and
price information.

University users are informed that Earthworks / Ark cls have agreed to
issue free licenses for Deterministic Inversion and Stochastic Inversion
to all Universities that have signed R&D agreements with dGB. To upgrade
your existing license please contact support at dgb-group.com .

Best regards,

Paul de Groot.
