Dear Users,
In OpendTect every command is always reachable via some icon or menu;
but for those of you who would rather use their keyboard than mouse
clicking a couple of shortcuts are available,
Please find below some of the useful shortcuts available in the latest
3.1.6 pre-release:
* When working with at least 2 seismic attributes on your
inline/crossline/timeslice
( The maximum number of attributes that can be displayed in OD on a
single tree element is 8)
there is a shortcut to quickly move up and down an attribute in the
list, by highlighting the attribute
and clicking Shift+ arrow up/down. The attribute listed on top is the
one displayed in foreground
thus it is a quick way to bring alternatively attributes to light.
* When using the attribute set, you can easily move from one
attribute to another just by clicking on the keyboard the first
letter of the attribute you would like
to calculate .
You want for example to create a seismic attribute using the " Volume
Statistics" attribute:
- Open the Attribute Set
- Activate the attribute field
- Click the "V" letter on your keyboard, this brings you
directly to all attributes starting
with V, like the Volume Statistics attribute.
In all the menus and on all buttons you can notice an underlined letter
: pressing this letter on your
keyboard will activate the corresponding menu/button.
* You can also set your own keys combinations shortcuts to easily
move your slice forward/backward
on inlines/crosslines, or to move your timeslice up/down :
Go to ; Utilities > Settings > Keyboard shortcuts.
You can use one key (set the first key to no-button) or use a
combination of control/shift key which can be
selected from a long dropped list.
Before using your shortcuts, be aware that the slice position in your
tree is highlighted.
Regards,
