ARK CLS has released the OpendTect Connector.

This new plugin allows you to quickly and easily import and export 3D
seismic and 3D horizon data, including attributes, from Petrel to
Opendtect and from OpendTect to Petrel. There is no need to consider
data formatting as this is a direct connection. Creating new surveys and
defining extents in OpendTect is easily achieved using this plugin.

This new plugin is available from the Ocean Store
http://www.ocean.slb.com/Pages/Product.aspx?category=All&cat=Ocean&id=PONT-B1
.

On the OpendTect download center
http://www.opendtect.org/index.php/download-center-commercial.html , a
"ARK CLS Petrel plugin" is available, which allows to configure
OpendTect to be compatible with the new OpendTect Connector.

The OpendTect Connector supports OpendTect V4.2 and above and Petrel
2010.1 and above, under Windows.

A commercial license for OpendTect is required to run this plugin. A 10
day free trial license for this plugin is available at no cost.

This new plugin will be demonstrated by ARK CLS at the EAGE conference
in Vienna - Austria at their booth #1082.
