[OpendTect_Users] Polygon Area in OpendTect

Dear Colin,

In OpendTect (Latest stable version V4.2.0e), an estimated volume can be 
calculated from the polygon to a given surface.
The velocity should be provided (or a default of 3000m/s can be used). 
Negative thicknesses can be  discarded or used. (See attached image)

There are two ways of volume estimation:

1- From Polygon in the tree: PickSet/Polygon > Right-click > Calculate 
Volume....> Select the Horizon
2- From Surface to which you want to estimated the volume: Horizon > 
Right-click >  Calculate Volume... > Select the polygon

Clicking in the "Estimate volume" will output the polygon area in sq.km 
and the volume in m3 and Mbbl.
