Hello Veijay,

Thanks for your questions. Please be informed that OpendTect is not a
seismic processing package. It is a seismic interpretation system that
consists of two parts: a free (open source) part and a commercial part. The
latter consists of closed source plugins for which you need a license key.

A good way to learn the system is by going through the self-training
course. The course material consists of a training manual and a 3D seismic
data set called "F3 Demo". The nice thing about F3 Demo is that it allows
you to practice both the open source work flows as well as the commercial
work flows available through the plugins. This means that you do not need a
license key to run the plugins on F3 Demo. For more information about the
