Hi all,
A few days ago John Watson of ArkCls reported a weird problem he had
found when using the survey info SI() in 2.5.1 . I first thought it was
something local, but yesterday I found out that it it something in the
release. The source code tree does not (fully) match the executable
stuff. Thus, users have no problems but developers do.
This is due to the time between building the release and the packaging.
In 'stable' releases, this is not an issue, as the CVS tree hardly ever
changes (that's why it's the 'stable' release I guess). But the
development release is just a snapshot of the CVS tree at a moment we
think things should be reasonably OK.
Anyway, we are now aware of this problem and we'll try to avoid it. I
hope you haven't hit this problem too and spent a lot of time.
Therefore: you can now get version 2.5.2 from the download center, if
you're interested. I'll send a separate e-mail on an interface change in
the uiAttributes related to the new concept of attribute groups, which
will force people who make attributes to make a few changes (good
changes!) in their UI code.
/Bert
