[Users] Opendtect 4.0 SW graphical rendering options

A question about texture rendering: since OD resides on a remote cluster that I access thru telnet/ssh, HW rendering is not enabled, even if the graphic card on the client workstation is ok.
So far, so good: it has always been that way.
In previous versions, when HW rendering was disabled there used to be a submenu associated to the various items (IL, XL, TS) labeled 'Resolution' which allowed to improve the visualization at the expense of CPU time needed for additional interpolation.
Now that 'Resolution menu' has gone, so when using SW rendering I am struck with a default resolution, which sometimes is less than acceptable (classic example: salt dome with very dipping reflectors on flanks).
Question: is the Resolution menu gone forever? Is there some 'tweak' parameter under the hood that will control the amount of resolution?

Best regards,
AC
