Join OpendTect at the SEG
SEG2010
dGB is introducing a number of new advancements to the OpendTect software at
the SEG convention, including the Horizon Cube and Well Correlation plugins.
We are also celebrating the first anniversary of OpendTect becoming
completely Open Source! We are giving away a Kindle-a-day to one lucky
person that shows their love for Open Source.
To support the growing user community in the Americas, we are hosting a
Users' Meeting that is open freely to everyone, and Meet the dTector
sessions for discussing your data or other OpendTect questions.
We look forward to seeing you in Denver!
New in OpendTect
OpendTect Version 4.2 is being introduced with many great new features, and
new plugins. dGB is happy to announce the long awaited Horizon Cube plugin.
This plugin will extract the structure from the seismic data and utilize
that for rock property predictions, low frequency model building and
sequence stratigraphy interpretation.
dGB is also introducing a Well Correlation plugin, a petrophysical well-log
analysis plugin (LAB+) developed by Geoinfo, and a Petrel/Ocean connectivity
plugin developed by ArkCLS.
We Love Open Source!
OpendTect has loved this last year since going completely Open Source. We
want everyone to know how much we love Open Source, and we want to see how
much you love it, too! We will be giving away a Kindle every day during the
SEG exhibition to someone who shows us their love for Open Source! Stop by
our booth #546 to learn more.
Users' Meeting
We are very happy to be offering the first ever US hosted
<http://www.dgbes.com/index.php/users-meeting.html> Users' Meeting, to be
held on Sunday before the Icebreaker. We have lined up several key OpendTect
users, and plugin collaborators, to share their experiences and results with
the user community. There are still a few seats available for the Users'
Meeting, so be sure to <http://www.dgbes.com/index.php/users-meeting.html>
register now if you wish to attend.
Meet the dTector
Do you have a difficult dataset, and you do not know which approach you
should take next? Have you tried every attribute you can think of, but you
are still not getting the results you are seeking? Why not schedule a
session to meet the dTector?
Several skilled dGB scientists will be on hand at the SEG, and you can
schedule a half hour session with the dTector most appropriate to your
needs. You are encouraged to bring your dataset so we can help you directly,
but of course we can also work through your questions on one of our demo
datasets. Limited slots are available, so reserve yours now by emailing
