[OpendTect_Users] Multi-Machine Processing not available for Windows

Hi All,

     This post is to respond to couple of support questions recently 
regarding Multi-Machine Processing on Windows, which might be of 
interest to other users as well.

Multi-Machine Processing between Windows machines is unfortunately not 
available in OpendTect 4.0. The implemented way of communication is 
based on rsh, and this command doesn't work for Vista and 7.
Since the new version doesn't use Cygwin any more, it won't be possible 
to use Cygwin methods either.

We're currently re-developing the Multi-Machine Processing module in 
order to make it fully cross platform.
